How ProtectiCloud Started
ProtectiCloud was founded in 2017 with a simple goal: make technology easier for businesses to understand and manage.
After spending decades in the technology industry, our founder repeatedly saw the same issue. Many companies struggled with IT environments that had become unnecessarily complicated. Systems were difficult to manage, documentation was unclear, and even basic technology decisions often required outside expertise just to understand what needed to be done.

Meet the Founder
Ricardo Lopez founded ProtectiCloud in 2017 as an online retailer focused on SMB and prosumer networking equipment.
After working closely with business customers, he noticed a recurring problem. Businesses didn’t simply need better hardware or more technology products. What they needed was a trusted partner who could simplify technology decisions and help them run their systems more effectively.
In 2019, Ricardo pivoted ProtectiCloud into a full Managed Service Provider dedicated to helping small and mid-sized businesses manage their IT environments with clear direction and dependable support.
Outside of work, Ricardo enjoys spending time with family, kayaking through Florida’s springs and rivers, visiting the beach, and occasionally attending motorsports races. He also enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures, especially through food.
